Luis Tiru-Romero was shot in July along Mount Pleasant Street, but died on Jan. 30 after a long hospitalization.
WORCESTER, MA — A New Jersey man has become the second person charged with murder following the death of a shooting victim last month.
Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said Anthony Negron, 26, of Camden, N.J., pleaded not guilty to a single murder charge on Friday. Negron was ordered held without bail.
Earlier this week, Jose Merced, 32, of Worcester was arrested charged with murder in the death of Luis Tiru-Romero. He was shot on July 9 along Mount Pleasant St., but died on Jan. 30 at a hospice in New York.
Both Negron and Merced were previously arraigned on charges of assault and battery in connection to the July shooting.
