3-Alarm Fire In Worcester Destroys Home

The fire broke out in a home late Monday night near Shrewsbury Street.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester firefighters battled a three-alarm fire along East Central Street late Monday night.

The fire broke out in a home at 90 East Central, about one block north of Shrewsbury Street behind Wormtown Brewery. Heavy flames were visible from three sides of the home when firefighters arrived, the department reported.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire just after midnight, preventing other nearby buildings from burning. No one was injured.
