3 Free Coronavirus Test Events In Worcester This Week

Worcester will host walk-up coronavirus test events on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester's series of free one-day coronavirus testing events will continue this week with three events across the city.

The weekly pop-up testing events are sponsored by UMass Memorial, the city and the COVID-19 Equity Task Force. Over 1,000 people have been tested at other recent pop-ups, according to city data.

Each upcoming event features free masks and hand sanitizer, and the opportunity to get a flu shot if you have a health insurance card. Here's the slate of events this week:

Sept. 14, Noon to 4 p.m.
Great Brook Valley, 19 Tacoma St.

Sept. 16, 2 to 6 p.m.
Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road

Sept. 17, 1 to 5 p.m.
Community Healthlink, 72 Jaques Ave.

Worcester also has two other more permanent testing sites as part of the state's Stop the Spread campaign at AFC Urgent Care and AIDS Project Worcester. Find details on testing times on the Stop the Spread website.
