3 Free Flu Shot, Coronavirus Test Events In Worcester Coming Up

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester will host three free flu shot and coronavirus testing clinics across the city the week of Sept. 28, which are on top of permanent coronavirus testing sites in the city.

Worcester has conducted over 34,000 tests over the last two weeks, according to state data. The city is still on the list of high-risk communities in the state, although the rate of cases was lower in data reported Wednesday by the state Department of Public health.

Worcester added about 8.9 cases per day on average over the last two weeks. Any community above 8 cases per day is considered high-risk.

In addition to the three pop-up testing sites, Worcester has several permanent coronavirus testing sites. Here's what's coming up beginning Sept. 28:

Bring insurance card for a flu shot

Sept. 30, 2 to 6 p.m.
Worcester Common Oval (behind City Hall), 455 Main St.
