3 Men Charges With Robbing Newly Furnished Home of Appliances

Three men were moving a refrigerator to the bed of a truck when police arrived.

WORCESTER, MA—Three men are facing charges for allegedly trying to steal new appliances from a residence in Worcester.

On Sunday, Sept. 25, around 10:12 p.m., Worcester police responded to a Vinson Street home for a break-in. Officers reportedly found four men outside of the address, two of them carrying a refrigerator to a truck. One in the group ran off, and the two carrying the refrigerator dropped it and tried to walk away, police said, while a fourth suspect wasn't located.

When officers asked the three what they were doing, they allegedly told them that they were picking up appliances for a friend. Their reasons for picking up the appliances conflicted with one another, said police. A new stove sat in the bed of the truck.

Officers learned that the apartment was vacant and that it had just been recently refurbished. All the appliances were new and had yet to be installed. The men had no idea who owned the apartment and had no lawful reason for being at the location while in possession of the appliances, said police.

At this time the three were placed under arrest and charged with Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime with the Intent to Commit a Felony. The men were identified as Ryan Grady, 27, Framingham, Ramon Roman, 27, Auburn, and Angel Carrasquillo, 34, Worcester.

All three suspects were arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse. Police are working on identifying the fourth suspect.
