3rd Worcester Moose Trapped By Police
A loose moose was spotted Thursday morning in Worcester's Tatnuck area, according to police.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester animal control officers trapped a moose in the West Tatnuck neighborhood on Thursday, which is at least the third moose seen in the city so far this October.
According to police, the moose was reported crossing near 1384 Pleasant St. Animal control officers and the Massachusetts Environmental Police responded. They trapped the animal and transported it out of the city.
The moose is "doing fine," police spokeswoman Katie Daly said on Thursday afternoon.

On Oct. 1, two moose were seen wandering around Worcester. The first, a 600-pound bull caught wandering in St. John's Cemetery, was trapped and taken out of the city.
But a second moose, thought to be about 3-1/2, was hit by as many as two cars along Stafford Street that night. The moose suffered compound fractures in its legs and had to be euthanized when it was found the morning of Oct. 2.
