40 Worcester Students Participate In Civics Academy Class

40 juniors are participating in this three-day class over April vacation.

WORCESTER, MA—Forty juniors from the Worcester Public Schools are participating in a three day Civics Academy Camp on the campus of Worcester State University during the April school vacation.

Chief Steven M. Sargent was the first of a series of speakers scheduled to speak to the students, said the announcement.

"The students gain insight into the various aspects of policing and asked questions about the challenges facing law enforcement. The students also took the opportunity to ask Chief Sargent about his career and experience working in various divisions in the department."
