42 Worcester Teachers Given 'Strong School' Grants
The grants are given to teachers who demonstrate effective and creative ways to engage students.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester Public School teachers were awarded Unum’s Strong Schools grants on Monday at a celebration at which $21,000 was distributed to 42 elementary school teachers.
This is the first year of the program in Worcester, according to an announcement. The grants are given to teachers who demonstrate effective and creative ways to engage students and improve their learning and achievement levels in literacy at the K-3 grade level.
Twenty Strong School grants were given to 42 Worcester schools from 11 schools around the city.
