WORCESTER, MA — Get in the holiday spirit Thursday in Worcester at Planting the Seed's 50th annual holiday toy drive and party.

The annual pre-Christmas party raises money and accepts toy donations to gift to children around the area. Planting the Seed has been collecting toys at bins stationed across the region in recent weeks, but Thursday's party is the culminating donation event.

The toy drive and party gets underway at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Worcester Fitness, 440 Grove St. The event will feature a DJ, refreshments, cash bar and a raffle. Attendees should bring a gift appropriate for ages newborn through 18. Planting the Seed also accepts cash donations and gift cards. The toys and gifts will go to local social service agencies for distribution across the area.
