$5M Lottery Ticket Sold In Worcester County

The store will get a $50,000 bonus for the sale.

UXBRIDGE, MA — A lottery prize worth $5 million was sold in Worcester County.

Baker Law Group Mass Lottery Trust, which is based in Hingham, claimed the final $5 million grand prize of the Massachusetts State Lottery's "$5,000,000 100X Cashword" instant ticket game. The trust, which is operated by trustee Michael Baker, chose to receive the prize as a one-time payment.

The trust received $3,250,000 in winnings, before taxes.

The winning ticket was sold at Mobil, 1 North Main St., in Uxbridge. The store will also receive a $50,000 bonus for the sale of this ticket.

The instant ticket game included only two grand prizes of $5 million. The odds of winning a prize that large were one in more than five million, according to the lottery's website. The game also included 10 $1 million prizes, and all of those have been claimed.
