WORCESTER, MA — A large party at a home in the Main South area on Friday night got out of hand, with possible shots fired, a fight, and a large crowd of people arguing, police said.

Police began getting calls at around 9 p.m. Friday about a gathering near the corner of May and Mason streets. They went to the location several times, and near midnight, they found a group of about 50 people in a home at 46 May St. arguing and "talking about guns," police reported.

When police entered the home, they found Luna Kona, 21, holding a backpack with a gun inside, police said. She was arrested on multiple gun charges. Police found another gun while searching the home.

At the home, police also arrested Rashad Thomasson, 21, on an outstanding warrant; an unidentified 17-year-old, who police say wouldn't take his hands out of his pocket and pushed an officer; and another 17-year-old who police say tried to get the crowd to stop the officers from making arrests.

Police arrested Jason Rumrill, 19, on charges of disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct for "challenging officers to fight," police said in a news release. Andrew Nguyen, 18, was also arrested on disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct charges for screaming so loud that it disturbed neighbors, police said.
