7 Arrested in Worcester Prostitution Sting
Six men and one woman were arrested in one evening during a prostitution sting in Worcester.
WORCESTER, MA—In a continuing effort to combat prostitution in the Main South area of Worcester, the Vice Squad set up a sting in the area on Thursday evening.
An undercover female officer, acting as a decoy, was on the street and as a result, eight males were placed under arrest along with one female.
Around 6 p.m., the officer was approached by two men in a vehicle, the men offering her crack cocaine in exchange for sex. One of the men opened his mouth, showing her a small bag of cocaine. The officer signaled to backup officers to come toward the car, and as they did, the man in the car swallowed the drug. Both men were placed under arrest. A search of the interior of the vehicle produced a small amount of crack cocaine.
Hector Chavarria, 48, Cambridge Street, Worcester, was charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee, Possession of Class B Substance and Interfering with a Police Officer (swallowing the drug). The second male, Jorge Figueroa, 33, Queen Street, Worcester, was charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee and Possession of Class B Substance.
The following were placed under arrest during the remainder of the evening with each being charged with Sexual Conduct for a Fee.

Clifford Moreau, 61, Lovell Street, Worcester
William MacFarlane, 33, Washington Street, Auburn
Alfred Obeng, 33, Vernon Street, Worcester
Jamal Hanna, 57, Westport Road, Worcester
Juan Alicea, 32, Beaver Street, Worcester
Lillie Williamsm Worcester.
All suspects were arraigned Friday at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
