8 Arrested In Prostitution Sting

Eight have been arrested, but names have not been released.

WORCESTER COUNTY, MA — Eight suspects have been arrested after local police departments and state police set up an operation targeting customers who solicited sex for a fee in central Massachusetts.

Undercover officers worked as part of the sting, setting up suspects who allegedly solicited sex for a fee and arranged meetings. After the suspects arranged the meeting place, they were taken into custody.

The location of the meetings and the names have not been released.

The eight suspects arrested were booked at the Auburn Police Department and released on bail. They were expected to be arraigned in court on Friday.

The operation was conducted by the State Police High Risk Victim Unit, Auburn Police, Leicester Police, Barre Police, Spencer Police, Holden Police, and the State Police Detective Unit for Worcester County.
