8 Arrested in Worcester Prostitution Sting
Charges included paying for sex, being a common streetwalker, selling sex and alcohol.

WORCESTER, MA—Pockets of Main South in Worcester, according to police, have been plagued with prostitution activity, and they have received numerous complaints from residents at crime watch meetings.
As a result, the Vice Squad conducted an undercover sting operation to address it.
On Thursday, June 30, a group of undercover officers went to the Main South neighborhoods early in the morning, with female and male decoy officers set up by 7 a.m.

Around 7:20 a.m., a female officer was the first to be approached by a man in a car. The man propositioned the officer and he was subsequently placed under arrest.
The operation lasted approximately 3 hours with five males and three females arrested. In addition to the eight arrests, six females opted to seek substance abuse treatment as an option rather than being arrested.

The following males were charged with offering to pay for sex:
•Yariel Torres, 34, 10-30 block of Bellevue St., Worcester.
•Alexander Delacruz, 32, 10-30 block of Freeland St., Worcester.
•Salif Johnson, 32, 1-20 block of Pine View Ave., Worcester. Also charged with Possession of Open Container of Alcohol.
•Paul Beaulieu, 52, 20-60 block of Federal St., Blackstone.
•Wellington Massaquoi, 30, 10-40 block of Gardner Street, Worcester.
The following females were arrested during this operation:
•Sharon Perry, 39, arrested for being a Common Streetwalker.
•Yadira Sanchez, 37, years-old arrested for Sexual Conduct for a Fee.
•Lauri Anne Lozzi, 52, arrested for Sexual Conduct for a Fee.
All suspects will be arraigned Friday at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
