After Dog Found With Kitchen Knife In Head, Auburn Pair Charged

The incident happened this week at a home off Route 20 near the Worcester line.

AUBURN, MA — Two Auburn residents were arrested and charged Tuesday after police found a dog at their home with a stab wound, according to reports.

According to Boston 25, police went to the Washington Street home around 9 p.m. Tuesday on a report of an injured dog. Police found the animal stabbed in the head with a kitchen knife — the blade still sticking out of its head.

According to the report, the 44-year-old and 20-year-old residents of the home assaulted the officers while trying to get back into their home while police were investigating the dog's injury. The pair were not arrested on animal cruelty-related charges, according to the station.
