After Texting At Red Light, Man Arrested On Warrant: Police

A 23-year-old Chicopee man who was driving with a suspended license was caught texting at the light, according to state police.

CHICOPEE, MA — A 23-year-old man who was stopped for texting while at a red light was arrested when police realized he had a suspended licensed and a warrant out for his arrest.

State police said a trooper noticed Joseph Goguen, of Chicopee, texting in his Honda Accord while stopped at a traffic light late Tuesday afternoon, police said. When the trooper pulled Goguen over, he realized he had a suspended license an active warrant for operating after suspension. Goguen also didn't have his license, police said.

Goguen was arrested and charged with sending/reading electronic messages, operating a vehicle with a suspended license (second offense,) warrant and license not in possession.
