WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester Railers Hockey Club has named David Aitken as its next president, the organization announced Monday, marking a leadership transition within the team.

Aitken will assume the role effective immediately. The club also thanked outgoing president Kim Golinski for her contributions during her tenure with the Worcester-based ECHL organization, according to the team’s announcement.

Golinski joined the team as president in Aug. 2024, bringing over 15 years of leadership and human resources experience. It's not yet clear why she left the role.

Patch reached out to Golinski for comment, but did not immediately hear back.

Now, the Railers say Aitken brings more than a decade of experience in the sports industry to the position. Most recently, he spent three seasons with Worcester as vice president of ticket sales and corporate partnerships.

Prior to that, he held roles with the Rochester Americans in the AHL and Rochester Knighthawks, including serving as director of ticket sales.

Aitken’s background includes work in revenue strategy, ticket sales development, corporate partnerships, fan engagement and organizational growth initiatives, according to the Railer's announcement.

“It’s a privilege to step into this role and lead the Worcester Railers,” Aitken said in the announcement. “I look forward to building on the momentum of the past season and continuing to elevate the fan experience.”

The leadership change comes shortly after the Railers concluded their 2025–26 home schedule this past Sunday. In its announcement, the team noted year-over-year growth in areas including partnerships, ticket sales, and merchandise, with the organization reporting franchise records in those categories.
