WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester-based nonprofit announced it has appointed two new medical directors.
Open Sky Community Services appointed Dr. Sarah Langenfeld of Worcester and Dr. Prerna Moorjani of Shrewsbury to leadership roles within the behavioral health and human services organization, the organization said Wednesday.
Langenfeld, a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 20 years of experience, will support Open Sky programs contracted through the state Department of Mental Health and Department of Public Health. She will also provide psychiatric pharmacology care at Open Sky’s Bridge Counseling Center.
Moorjani, a board-certified adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist, will serve as medical director of developmental disabilities services and the child and family services division. She will also provide care at Open Sky’s Behavioral Health Urgent Care clinic.
Open Sky President and CEO Ken Bates said both doctors bring expertise in behavioral health and will help strengthen the organization’s “whole person care model.”
Langenfeld has spent the past four years practicing part-time with Open Sky’s Program of Assertive Community Treatment. Moorjani previously worked as a child and adolescent psychiatrist at a community-based provider in Central Massachusetts.
