Get ready, Worcester! The smash-hit musical comedy Mrs. Doubtfire is officially making its way to The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts this summer for a strictly limited run from June 26-28, 2026.
Based on the beloved 1993 film, this internationally acclaimed production has been taking audiences by storm. Critics have called it everything from "wonderful, heart-warming, and laugh-out-loud funny" (Manchester Evening News) to "a feel-good, family-friendly comedy that delivers" (The Hollywood Reporter).
If you're looking for the ultimate feel-good theater experience right in the heart of downtown, this is the one you won't want to miss.
For those who need a quick refresher on the story: out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard will do absolutely anything for his kids. After a messy divorce leaves him without custody, he hatches a desperate, brilliant, and hilarious plan to stay in their lives by creating a kindly alter ego: Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire.
As the new persona takes on a life of its own, Daniel ends up learning a whole lot more than he bargained for about what it truly means to be a father. It’s a hilarious, fast-paced, and deeply heartfelt story about holding onto the ones you love against all odds—reminding us all that we really are better together.
This critically acclaimed production packs some serious star power. Craig Allen Smith takes on the legendary title role of Daniel Hillard/Euphegenia Doubtfire, starring alongside Melissa Campbell as Miranda Hillard.
The principal company also features:
The high-energy ensemble cast includes Scott Taylor-Cole, Connor Barton, Naja Bates, and a host of other incredibly talented performers.
