WORCESTER, MA — City Manager Eric Batista is set to deliver Worcester's annual State of the City address next month at City Hall.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Jun. 17 at 6 p.m. in the Levi Lincoln Chamber at Worcester City Hall, 455 Main St., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m., the city announced on Tuesday. The program will be presented by the city and the Worcester Regional Research Bureau.
Batista said the address will reflect on a year that included Worcester's first proposed billion-dollar budget, groundbreaking for a Day Resource Center and the launch of a Housing Production Plan, according to the city's announcement.
Batista has served as Worcester city manager since December 2022. Worcester operates under a council-manager form of government.
Paul Matthews, executive director and CEO of the Worcester Regional Research Bureau, said in the announcement that the event continues a local tradition and will give Batista a chance to share his vision for the city.
The Worcester Regional Research Bureau is a nonprofit founded in 1985 that conducts nonpartisan public policy research and forums in Greater Worcester, according to the organization's website.
