WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce recognized local businesses, organizations and community leaders during its Annual Business Awards on Sunday night.
The chamber named The Hanover Insurance Group as the Richard B. Kennedy Business of the Year, along with winners in retail, nonprofit, small business, family-owned business and other categories, according to the chamber.
The Joe Cohen Retailer of the Year award went to The Bra Shop. SALMON Health and Retirement was named Family-Owned Business of the Year, Perfect Fit Tailoring was named Small Business of the Year and Puroclean Auburn MA was named BIPOC-Owned Business of the Year.
Legendary Legacies Inc. was named Nonprofit Organization of the Year. Killian Madden of Wicked Wheels LLC was named Entrepreneur of the Year, Gina Ahtof was named Ambassador of the Year and Michael Welch of UniBank MA was named Chamber Advocate of the Year.
The chamber also recognized several Silver Hammer Award recipients, including 204 Main Street by The Menkiti Group, 333 Pleasant Street by Northeast Properties, Creative Hub Worcester and Residences on Lincoln Square by FW Madigan Company Inc. and WinnCompanies.
The awards honor leaders, advocates, businesses and organizations whose work has had an impact across the Worcester region, according to the chamber.
