Police responded to the McDonald's on Auburn Street on Tuesday after receiving a report that someone had flashed a gun during an argument. Officers learned the suspect had boarded a WRTA bus, quickly located the bus and identified a person matching the caller's description.

Witnesses identified a black crossbody bag belonging to the suspect. Officers developed probable cause to search the bag and found a loaded revolver, police said.

Desrosiers told police that the bag belonged to him, along with every item inside of it, except the loaded firearm, officials said. The firearm was recovered and processed by the Auburn Police Bureau of Criminal Identification, police said.

Desrosiers was arraigned Wednesday in Worcester District Court on charges of carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
