Worcester Seeking Workday System Administrator For IT Department

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester is looking to fill a technology position tied to the city’s human resources and financial systems.

The city is seeking applicants for a full-time Workday System Administrator and Analyst in the Department of Innovation and Technology, with applications open until the position is filled and preference given to applications received by Friday, July 17.

The job pays $93,232 to $122,661 annually and is a 40-hour-per-week exempt position with benefits.

The administrator and analyst will be responsible for configuration, optimization and security of Worcester’s Workday HCM and Financials systems. The role reports to the Director of IT Applications and is expected to support business continuity, data integrity and compliance with city policies and regulations.

The position includes work on Workday release planning, security groups, business processes, custom fields, reports, vendor integrations, data audits and emergency fixes when system issues affect city operations.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in information systems, business administration, computer science, finance, human resources or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and five years of experience.

Applicants also need three years of Workday administration and configuration experience, two years of Workday business process configuration experience, two years of Workday security administration experience and the ability to obtain and maintain CJIS certification, according to the city.
