Pregnant Woman Among 2 Pedestrians Hit On Belmont Street In Worcester

WORCESTER, MA — Two women were taken to a hospital Thursday after being struck while crossing Belmont Street, according to Worcester police.

The crash happened just after 11:30 a.m. on Belmont Street, where two women, including one who is about four months pregnant, were hit by a driver, according to police. Both women were conscious and alert when officers arrived.

The women were transported as priority 2 patients. Priority 1 is the most serious classification.

The driver remained at the scene, police said. The crash remains under investigation.

Police did not release the identities of the driver or the victims.
