WORCESTER, MA — Worcester Regional Airport is expanding its parking capacity as more passengers choose to fly from the city.

The airport announced Tuesday that it is adding parking to support continued growth. The project will create 190 spaces on airport property and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, according to Massport project documents.

The new lot will replace temporary overflow parking southeast of the terminal. The Federal Aviation Administration allowed Massport to use that airside property for three years beginning in 2023.

The parking work comes after the airport served 231,000 passengers during fiscal 2026, a 4 percent increase from the previous year, the airport announced earlier this month.

Worcester Regional Airport offers daily commercial service through American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and JetBlue, according to Massport. The airport said increased passenger demand could help attract additional service and expand travel options for Central Massachusetts.
