WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough is seeking an executive assistant to handle administrative work for two of the town's top governing offices.
The town posted the full-time opening Wednesday to support the daily operations of the town manager's office and Select Board. The 40-hour-per-week position has an anticipated hiring range of $63,829 to $72,839 per year, with a maximum salary of $83,121.
The executive assistant will respond to public inquiries, prepare Select Board agendas and minutes, process license applications and manage board and committee appointments. Other responsibilities include maintaining town website content, handling confidential records and serving as the town's parking clerk.
A bachelor's degree in public policy, business administration or a related field is preferred. Applicants should have three to five years of related administrative support or office management experience, though an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
The position requires attendance at Select Board meetings outside regular business hours.

The town recently added the assistant town accountant and finance assistant positions. The assistant town accountant opening has an anticipated hiring range of $36.10 to $41.20 per hour, while the finance assistant position pays an anticipated $30.69 to $35.02 per hour.
Other openings include a director of planning position paying $101,896 to $132,695 annually and an assistant town engineer position paying $86,292 to $112,375 annually. The town is offering a $4,000 hiring bonus for fully qualified assistant town engineer applicants.
