WORCESTER, MA — A 46-year-old man is facing charges following a multiagency investigation into allegations that he inappropriately contacted a child in Worcester over the internet, police said.
Jason Wilson faces charges of disseminating matter harmful to a minor, posing or exhibiting a child in a state of nudity or sexual conduct, disseminating visual material of a child in a state of nudity or sexual conduct, possessing child pornography or child sexual abuse material and attempting to commit a crime, according to the Worcester Police Department.
West Boylston police arrested Wilson on a warrant early Tuesday morning while responding to an unrelated event, Worcester police said.
Worcester detectives also executed several search warrants and collected additional evidence. The investigation remains ongoing.
The investigation involved the Worcester Police Department's Special Crimes and Cyber Crimes units, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office Child Advocacy Center and Child Abuse Unit and the FBI. Police said the Massachusetts State Police's Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and the U.S. Marshals Service also assisted.
