WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester eatery is preparing to mark its first year in the city with changes on the way.
La Baguette Worcester, the Haitian and Caribbean restaurant, announced this week that it is planning "new surprises" and "exciting additions" as its first anniversary approaches. The restaurant at 550 Park Ave. first opened in November 2025.
"One year of serving you delicious Haitian food, and we're just getting started," the business wrote in a Thursday announcement. "We're working on something special, and we can't wait to share it with you."
La Baguette serves traditional Haitian dishes including griot, fried goat, red snapper, legumes and soup joumou. Its menu also includes Haitian patties, Creole bread, breakfast dishes and Caribbean drinks.
The restaurant opened in the former home of Crown Fried Chicken and a place of worship operated by the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, according to the Worcester Business Journal. That was after TN Properties LLC of Worcester purchased the building back in 2024, according to the newspaper.
Now, La Baguette is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, according to its website.
The business has not yet said exactly what the additions will be or provide a date for an anniversary celebration, but said more details will be announced later.
