Anna Maria College has been recognized as a College of Distinction for the 2016-2017 academic year

Anna Maria College has been recognized as a College of Distinction for the 2016-2017 academic year. Colleges of Distinction is an evaluation resource that recognizes higher education institutions that excel in offering the best options for students on an individual level. Colleges of Distinction are ‘distinguished’ by four essential characteristics – Engaged Students, Great Teaching, Vibrant Communities and Successful Outcomes. This annual list helps students find information about the best colleges in the nation and empowers them to make a confident choice and identify the ‘right-fit.’

In response to the news from Colleges of Distinction, President Mary Lou Retelle stated: “I am pleased to learn that Anna Maria College has been recognized as a College of Distinction. We as an institution have always strived to provide the very best for our students and their futures through a hands-on, career-oriented learning experience. Anna Maria College will strive to further distinguish itself as a premier higher education institution throughout the 2016-2017 academic year. ”

Anna Maria College is a private, co-educational institution founded in 1946 by the Sisters of Saint Anne. With an annual enrollment of 1,500 students, the College prides itself on providing a values-based, service-focused liberal arts education.
