WORCESTER, MA — Former NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown will make an appearance in Worcester this week, but the visit doesn't have much to do with football.

Brown will play a gig at Whiskey On Water in the Canal District Thursday as part of his new career as a rapper. The event was first reported Tuesday by MassLive.

Although the bar and nightclub frequently hosts musicians, Brown's appearance is easily the most high profile performance in recent memory. Brown will perform alongside DJ Juice, Dj S3NS3S and DJ Trent — and all but the most expensive tickets going for $60+ were sold out as of Wednesday morning, according to the Eventbrite page.

Brown is free to pursue music after he effectively ended his NFL career at the end of the last season. During a game against the New York Jets, Brown stripped off his pads and uniform, threw them into the crowd and walked off the field after a dispute with Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians.

No word on whether Tom Brady will make an appearance alongside his former Super Bowl LV teammate. But almost certainly not.
