Bank of America and Habitat for Humanity build home for Worcester family
On Oct. 6, 2017, Bank of America teamed up with Habitat for Humanity Metro West/Greater Worcester to build a home for a local family

On Oct. 6, 2017, Bank of America employee volunteers teamed up with Habitat for Humanity Metro West/Greater Worcester to build a home for a local Worcester family, the Uvanitte’s. Originally from the Boston area, Lyndsay and Steve Uvanitte, along with their three young daughters Vivien, Lillian and Olive, moved to North Carolina to be closer to Steve’s family. After being displaced by Hurricane Matthew in October 2016, the Uvanitte’s moved back to Massachusetts, now living in Worcester. The new home is one of 88 communities across six countries participating in Bank of America’s fourth annual Habitat for Humanity Global Build. In Massachusetts, employees volunteered all across the state, holding six builds at five different Massachusetts Habitat for Humanity affiliates during the first week of October.
