Body Pulled From Lake Quinsigamond After Long Search
Shrewsbury, Worcester and state crews conducted the search Tuesday near the Burns Memorial Bridge.

WORCESTER, MA — Rescuers pulled a person's body from Lake Quinsigamond Tuesday afternoon after a long search effort involving seven different agencies.
The search began around 10 a.m. Tuesday after a person was reported missing in the lake near the Burns Memorial Bridge. For about four hours, firefighters from Worcester and Shrewsbury, local EMS crews, state and environmental police and the Department of Conservation and Recreation searched for the missing person.
Just before 2:30 p.m., a Worcester Fire Department dive team located the person and brought them to shore.
Officials did not release any further information about the victim.
