About the Book
The daily struggles Adam Clarke faces are enough to split him in two. His genuine identity as a young man who endeavors to make those around him happy, as a compassionate care worker who goes above and beyond in his profession and as a loving son, pitted against his scatterbrain state of mind, addictions, and his deep self-loathing.
Against the advice of doctors and his grade-school teachers, Adam’s mother chose not to medicate her son’s debilitating ADHD. As a result of her decision, Adam begins to self-medicate his problematic impulsiveness and overwhelming urges. Now twenty-three and guilty of a horrific accident, Adam is about to lose the only thing he has left, his freedom. He must decide to give up on himself or fight for a better life on the other side.
