Mental Health Matters

Event Details

78 Burncoat St, Worcester, MA, 01605

My name is Julie Scanlon, local artist humanitarian entrepreneur of Sunshine Creations Art for a Cause and curator of this year's annual mental health matters art show fundraiser. I have roughly twenty-five years of supporting a variety of causes but for many years now, I have been inspired by mental health as my main cause of choice supporting our local Nami (National Alliance on Mental Illness)of Central Mass due to sadly losing numerous close friends to suicide , I myself a multi attempt survivor with bipolar disorder being tremendously blessed to still be here to use my time and creative talents to try to make a difference in this particular area as it is so very prevalent to humanity as a whole. This year's event is being held at The Burncoat Center for Arts and Wellness. Included activities in this fun, free family, outdoor mental health matters fundraiser event is a for sale by artist (my own works) mental health art showcase , among other crafty, creative artisans offering beautiful handmade arts, crafts, jewelry, wellness products and baked goods for sale. A create your own craft table, also featuring face painting and temporary tattoos are available as well as a humorous offering of a Bigfoot selfie photo booth with $5 donations asked for each of those activities all to benefit Nami of Central Mass. Live music from local talents, relaxing in chair massage therapy, NAMI, of Central Mass mental health resources/ education station, a delicious BBQ food truck , and a raffle, with all winners announced at the end of the event, is all of what people can excitedly anticipate for event day with proceeds to be donated to Nami (National Alliance on Mental Illness) of Central Mass. Thank you so tremendously much for helping support this great cause !!! Gratefully,                                                                    Julie Scanlon                                                    Sunshine Creations Art for a Cause              508-577-7225 image.png
