Geek Is Glam is a day-long, interactive STEM conference designed to inspire middle school girls (grades 4–8) to explore the exciting worlds of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Hosted by Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts (GSCWM) on the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) campus, this annual event has run since 2014 and brings together 60 to 80 education and adventure collaborators each year. Girls take part in hands-on workshops led by some of the region’s top scientific and engineering minds.
At Geek Is Glam, girls can dive into experiments, build creative projects, and discover how STEM can make a real difference in the world, all in a fun, supportive environment. From robotics to chemistry, coding to design, participants will have the chance to meet inspiring women in STEM, spark new passions, and experience the joy of exploration and discovery on the beautiful WPI campus.
