Cannabis Microbusiness Plans Worcester Location
Happy Flower wants to open in a Webster Square-area warehouse, according to plans submitted this month.

WORCESTER, MA — A rare type of cannabis business may soon be coming to the Webster Square area in Worcester.
Boston-based Happy Flower LLC has applied to open a cannabis microbusiness in a warehouse at 41 Fremont St., according to plans submitted recently to the Planning Board. The company would be the second microbusiness along Fremont Street. The microbusiness Magic Dragon received approval from the Planning Board in February 2020.
Happy Flower would occupy about 7,000 square feet inside a larger warehouse. The space would be used to cultivate cannabis and manufacture products containing cannabinoids. Happy Flower would not be open to the public for shopping.

Under state law, cannabis microbusinesses can cultivate and manufacture products, but are limited to how much product they can sell to marijuana retailers. Most cannabis businesses have to apply for separate licenses to conduct those activities at the same time.
In addition to Happy Flower and Magic Dragon, the cannabis grower Cultivation Experts LLC has received approval to operate at 65 Fremont St.
