Car Thief Heads To Dunkin' Drive-Thru After Taking SUV: Police
The 27-year-old car thief pushed the owner of the Subaru to the ground and drove off early Friday morning.
WORCESTER, MA — A local man's first stop after stealing an SUV in Worcester wasn't a chop shop or to hit the highway, it was the Dunkin' drive-thru lane.
According to Worcester police, a woman left her Subaru Forester running early Friday morning along Water Street in Kelley Square. That's when a 27-year-old Worcester man hopped inside. The woman tried to get him out of the driver's seat, but he pushed her to the ground, police said.
A short time after, Worcester police spotted the Subaru in the drive-thru line at a 24-hour Dunkin' along Grafton Street. Police ordered the man out of the car and arrested him.
The man, a Mendon Street resident, was charged with carjacking, assault and battery, use of a vehicle without authority — and driving without a license.
