WORCRESTER, MA - Kidnapping and conspiracy charges against five Assumption University students in a "To Catch a Predator"-style plot have been dropped, according to the Boston Globe.

All charges against Joaquin Smith, Isabella Trudeau and Randall Easton were dropped. Kelsy Brainard remains charged with misleading the police. Kevin Carroll still faces an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon charge.

The students reportedly lured a man onto the campus of Assumption University last year before chasing him off. The victim was punched in the back of the head and had his car door slammed on him as he tried to escape.
