Chase That Began In Worcester Ends In Trooper, Woman Injured
A woman collided with the trooper along Route 12 in Leominster during a pursuit. The woman had serious injuries.
LEOMINSTER, MA — A woman was seriously hurt when she collided with a state trooper's vehicle along Route 12 Wednesday night. The trooper was also hurt, and was involved in a pursuit of a suspect that began along I-290 in Worcester at the time of the collision, according to reports.
The chase began around 11:49 p.m., according to police. The suspect fled up I-190 and onto Route 12. The woman collided with the trooper just north of Route 2 and the Mt. Wachusett Community College campus.
The woman was taken to UMass Medical Center with serious injuries. The trooper was treated at Leominster Hospital for minor injuries. The suspect police were chasing was arrested around 12:15 a.m., according to WHDH.
