Chick-fil-A To Open Second Location In Worcester

Here's when and where the eatery is expected to open.

WORCESTER, MA — A national chain known for its chicken is planning to open a second location in Worcester.

Chick-fil-A will open a restaurant at 99 Stafford St. in Worcester, the location of a former Walgreens. The business's owner and a representative were granted a Common Victualer license by the city's License Commission on Thursday.

The eatery, which will celebrate its grand opening in February, will have on-site parking and outdoor patio seating, the representative told the License Commission.

It will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. All Chick-fil-A locations are closed on Sundays.

Currently, Chick-fil-A operates two other Worcester County locations: 80 Gold Star Blvd. in Worcester and 286 Turnpike Rd. in Westborough, which opened back in September 2014.

A representative for Wetzels Pretzels, another new business opening a second location in Worcester this year, also requested a Common Victualer license this week.

The bakery, known for its fresh-baked soft pretzels, will open at 25 Tobias Boland Way, the current site of a Walmart Supercenter. The business told Patch that the store would open in the fall of 2026.
