WORCESTER, MA — An icon in Worcester's dining scene is back.

Clark University has reopened Annie's Clark Brunch — the standby cash-only breakfast spot located along Main Street at the end of campus.

Annie's Clark Brunch closed in June after longtime owner Annie Jenkins reitred. The restaurant reopened on Sept. 12 with the university's dining services department taking over cooking duties.

But Clark won't be doing it alone. Annie Jenkins and her daughter, Megan Mancini Zawalich, have returned to show Clark how to make authentic Clark Brunch, according to the university. The school has not changed the menu, either.

“We were fortunate to be able to pry Annie out of retirement to help us out,” Clark President David Fithian told the college news sites ClarkNOW. “We could never have reopened with confidence without having Annie and Megan by our side.”
