Cop Posing As Prostitute Leads To 4 Arrests In 2 Hours
Four men are facing charges after a female member of the vice squad acts as a decoy in sting.
WORCESTER, MA—
On Thursday, April 27, members of the Vice Squad conducted surveillance in the Main South area for prostitution and for street level drug transactions in the early morning hours.
Around 7:05 a.m., a female officer acting as a prostitute decoy stood on the sidewalk on Main Street near Loudon Street, when she was approached by a man driving a car. The man offered money for sex to the female officer, after which she gave a signal to nearby vice officers. The officer told the man to meet her at a specific location, and as he was driving, officers stopped him.
Hai Ngoc Le, 64, Freeland Street, Worcester, was arrested and charged with sex for a fee.
Around 7:30 a.m., the female officer stood in the same spot as before when another man driving a car pulled up. He engaged in a conversation with the officer and offered to pay her for sex. Again, the officer gave a signal to the other officers. Rachard Dale, 38, Norwell Street, Dorchester, was arrested and charged with sex for a fee. Officers found four bags of heroin and four bags of cocaine while searching Dale's vehicle. Dale was additionally charged with Possession of Class A Substance with the Intent to Distribute (second or subsequent offense) and Possession of Class B Substance with the Intent to Distribute (second or subsequent offense). Dale’s vehicle was issued a citation for parking more than 12” from the curb and subsequently towed from the scene. Police also confiscated $74 in cash that Dale had. Due to the fact that the MV was used as an instrument of drug distribution, officers will be submitting paperwork for the forfeiture of the vehicle. The vehicle is a 2004 Infiniti SUV.
At 8:35 a.m., a third male driver approached the female officer in the same area, offering money for sex. Eliezer Machado, 42-years-old of 156 Dudley Road, Oxford, was arrested and charged with sex for a fee.
And a fourth time, the female officer was approached, around 9:15 a.m., another man approached the officer for sex. Adolfo Wiggins, 48, Oread Street, Worcester, was arrested.
All four men were arraigned this afternoon at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
