Damaging Storms May Hit West Of I-495 Wednesday Afternoon
An isolated tornado, hail, heavy rain and lighting are possible, according to the National Weather Service.

WORCESTER, MA — The National Weather Service is warning of possible severe weather Wednesday afternoon with storms bringing the chance of thunder and lightning, tornadoes and hail.
A line of severe weather will sweep across Massachusetts from the northwest beginning around 4 p.m., according to forecasts. The storms will lose steam as they get closer to I-495.
"Keep an eye in the sky later this afternoon, especially if you live west of I-190. Scattered thunderstorms are expected, some severe," the weather service said in a tweet. "Most likely hazard with any severe storms will be damaging straight line winds."
The severe weather threat should end by around 9 p.m., according to the weather service.
The stormy weather will come with unseasonably warm temperatures upward of 90 degrees in central Massachusetts and MetroWest.
