Deer Jumps Through Window Of Worcester High School
Police said no one in the building was injured but the deer was euthanized.

WORCESTER, MA — It was not your normal dismissal at Doherty Memorial High School on Friday afternoon after a deer jumped through a window. The incident happened right around student dismissal time, but no students were in the building, administration officials said.
The deer jumped four feet off the ground through the main office window, according to the superintendent's office. Worcester police said a staff member was in the room but she was not injured. The deer, however, broke at least two legs.
Police said the deer was suffering and did not roam around the school. Animal control took the deer away and euthanized it in a private area, police said.

A tenth grade student who did not wish to use their name said their bus happened to be parked in front of the window when the incident happened. "It was an average size, not too big but small enough to fit through a window," they said, adding that another deer was on the road.
