Driver Dies After Crash Into Barrier On Grafton Street In Worcester: Police

WORCESTER, MA — The driver involved in a crash on Grafton Street on Tuesday has died, the Worcester Police Department told Patch.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at approximately 11:51 a.m. for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a 37-year-old male driver who was not moving or responding, according to initial dispatch information.
A preliminary investigation shows he slammed into a cement barrier, police said. Worcester officers observed heavy damage to the front of the vehicle.
First responders rushed the driver to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police have not yet released the victim's name.
