Fast-Growing Food Hall Celebrates Central MA Opening
Diners can now order dishes from more than 20 restaurant concepts in a single meal at the area's newest food hall.
MILLBURY, MA — Central Massachusetts diners can now order dishes from more than 20 restaurant concepts in a single meal at the area's newest food hall.
Wonder recently celebrated the opening of its location at The Shops at Blackstone Valley, 70 Worcester-Providence Turnpike. The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce held an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the business on Sept. 3.
Wonder allows customers to combine dishes from multiple menus in one order for dine-in, pickup or delivery. Its concepts include restaurants associated with chefs Bobby Flay, Michael Symon and Marcus Samuelsson as well as businesses such as Di Fara Pizza and Tejas Barbecue.
The company had scheduled the Millbury restaurant to open Aug. 20 as part of a broader expansion across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. At the time, the company said it had created 450 jobs across the region.
Wonder began its Massachusetts expansion earlier this year with nine planned locations, including restaurants in Framingham, Natick, Belmont and Canton, Patch previously reported. The platform has since grown to more than 20 locations across Massachusetts and New Hampshire, with additional openings planned, including one in Brookline.
Founded in 2018 by former Walmart executive and Jet.com founder Marc Lore, Wonder first used mobile kitchens before shifting to physical locations. The company has also acquired meal-kit business Blue Apron and delivery service Grubhub.
