Residents called to say they heard gunshots, people screaming, and tires squealing. It resulted in three arrests.

WORCESTER, MA—Three are facing charges after an altercation early Thursday morning that involved a father and daughter allegedly smashing the car of a woman who reportedly broke into their home.

On Thursday, June 2, around 1:23 a.m., officers responded to a call from 8 Monomoy St., where a man reported that a break-in was in progress. The caller, Donald Angers, 51, of the same address, told police he was in bed and heard a loud noise in the kitchen. He checked and found the back door kicked in, and a woman-Crusenia Delacruz, 23, 8 Hunnewell St., Worcester, standing in the kitchen.

When Delacruz saw Angers, police said she fled out the back door, got in a gold Chevy sedan, and drove off.

Angers told police that his daughter, Taylor Jennette, 22, also of 8 Monomoy St., was having ongoing problems with Delacruz. Officers were unable to find Delacruz, but three hours later, they responded to the area of 447 Burncoat St., after witnesses said they heard gunshots, people screaming and tires squealing.

Police saw a small sedan and a black pickup truck flee the scene, and spotted a Chevy Cavalier with a smashed front windshield driving down Clark Street. They pulled the car over with Crusenia Delacruz behind the wheel. She told officers she was assaulted by Jenette and Angers, admitting she is having an ongoing problem with both of them. She told officers that Jenette and her father pulled up next to her in the truck, got out, and took turns smashing her car windows with a baseball bat, during which she said she was hit in the arm by the bat and broken glass.

They located Jenette and Angers, and both were placed under arrest, charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Malicious Destruction of Property.
