Find Free Meals In Worcester For Thanksgiving 2021

Several community groups and restaurants in Worcester are offering free food to anyone who needs it.

WORCESTER, MA — If you need a little help putting together a Thanksgiving meal this year, or are just looking for a some companionship, there are several options this year.

Restaurants, businesses, churches and community groups in Worcester are offering free meals to anyone who wants it this year. Here are some of the options:

The Catholic Charities of Worcester and Bishop Robert McManus will hold a free Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 2 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Paul, 38 High St. This is the 62nd annual Bishop's Dinner.


A collaboration between City Council candidate Johanna Hampton-Dance, The Bridge, A Word From Echo, Nuestra, Worcester Food Hub, the Central Mass Agency on Aging and 2Gether We Eat will give away food between 2 and 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving at these locations:

  • Lincoln Village, 52 Country Club Boulevard
  • Hotel Vernon, 16 Kelley Square
  • South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC), 25 Queen St.
  • Pleasant Street Neighborhood Center, 301 Pleasant St.

The Boulevard Diner, 155 Shrewsbury St., will serve a free Thanksgiving meal to anyone from 1 to 5 p.m.

"Whether by yourself or with your whole family, we would love to share our meal with you all. Spread the word so the less fortunate can find their way to our table," the Boulevard Diner owners said in a Facebook post.


The owners Voltage Styles Boutique, 834 Main St., will give out complete turkey dinners beginning at noon.

"This year it's very important to us here at Voltage Fashion, as a small business in a community where there is so much need, to do our part to help close the gap of food insecurities for ALL, whether community residents or sadly our homeless and substance abused population," owner Laura Perez-Garcia said on Facebook. "Bottom line WE want to help!!"


The Three G's Sports Bar, 152 Millbury St., will offer free sit-down Thanksgiving meals to anyone at noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

"We're excited to have over 500 pounds of food including turkey, potatoes, stuffing, and vegetables," the Three G's owner said on Facebook.


Cafe Neo, 97 Millbury St., will hold its annual Thanksgiving meal event from noon to 5 p.m. on Thursday.

"I'll be making a lot of food," owner Panagio Tsigas said in a Facebook post. There will be traditional turkey dinner, plus my mother's special chicken lemon recipe in the oven, lemon potatoes, meatballs, pastas, veggies and pies from The Pie Store at Table Talk Pies."
