Fire Destroys 50-Year-Old Tiki Restaurant In Webster
The fire broke out early Friday morning at Wind Tiki, a fixture along Route 193 since the 1970s.

WEBSTER, MA — A multi-alarm fire destroyed the Wind Tiki restaurant along Thompson Road in Webster early Friday morning.
The fire broke out around 2 a.m., according to the Webster Fire Department. No one was inside the restaurant when the fire started, according to the department.
Firefighters said the cause of the fire was still under investigation hours after the fire broke out.

Wind Tiki opened in 1974 along Route 193, but its building has been home to other restaurants at the edge of Lake Chaubunagungamaug.
