Firefly's BBQ Expands Into The Backyard

MetroWest's Most Bodacious Bar-B-Que Now Serving Up Draft and Craft Beers, Creative Cocktails, Live Music and a Raw Bar with Fresh Seafood

Firefly's BBQ recently opened its doors into The Backyard, a 75-seat outdoor patio offering guests fun in the sun and good times under the stars. The Backyard at Firefly’s BBQ is the perfect setting to indulge in Firefly's award-winning bar-b-que and southern fare, new raw bar and fresh seafood selections, an extensive menu of draft and craft beers and specialty cocktails. Comfortable outdoor seating arranged intimately around fire-pits offers a resort-style environment where guests can enjoy live acoustic music on the weekends, play Cornhole on grass courts and catch the game on big-screen TVs at the outdoor bar.

“I wanted to create a space where you can go out with friends; eat, drink, watch sports and hear live music, all while feeling as relaxed as if you’re at home in your own backyard!” said owner Steve Uliss.

Firefly's full menu of classic bar-b-que and Southern fare is available outside, including fan favorites like:

· National Award-Winning BBQ Ribs

· A Waffle Lot o’ Chicken

· Po’ Boy Sandwiches

· Jumbo Wings

· Bodacious Burgers

BUT WAIT – NOW THERE’S MORE!

Firefly’s New England roots have emerged in The Backyard, with the brand new "raw bar" featuring fresh oysters from all along the Atlantic seaboard, Jonah crab claws, a “drunken” shrimp boil and more. Mid-week is not to be missed as seafood lovers get the most shuck for their buck on "Wicked Wednesdays" when you can get premium oysters for $2 each and little-necks for just $1 apiece!

And, of course, no outdoor paradise would be complete without a fully-stocked outdoor bar. The Backyard has got it covered. With popular drafts on tap, plenty of bottled craft brews and nice cans, there are enough beers to satisfy any and all hopheads. But for those who want something other than a cold brew, The Backyard has creative cocktails that are sure to please, including:

· The Horny Rita — a classic margarita with a jalapeno bite

· The Jim Beam Honey Arnold Palmer

· Mary Had a Little Pig — a Bloody Mary garnished with a strip of Firefly’s Candy Lacquered Bacon

For the sports fans out there, there is no better place to spend a football Sunday than The Backyard. With football season about to kick-off and baseball playoffs coming in the fall, two massive televisions hang over the outdoor bar, large enough for everyone to see while they eat and drink. The TVs, food, cocktails and Cornhole courts (don’t worry rookies, the rules are on the menu) make The Backyard the best tailgate in town.

The Backyard will also have live musical performances, so you can kick back, have a drink and fully enjoy the warm summer nights on Fridays and Saturdays and sunny Sunday afternoons.

The Backyard is now open! For a full list of hours, music schedule, or to book a private “Backyard” party, head to www.fireflysbbq.com or call (508) 357-8883.

ABOUT FIREFLY’S BBQ

Firefly's BBQ has been a staple of great bar-b-que since 2001, when it opened its 10,000 square foot restaurant west of Boston and fired up its rolling smokers, which cater off-site events all around New England. Owner and pit-master, Steve Uliss has pioneered bar-b-que in the Northeast with authentic Southern-style cuisine and homemade sauces. Winner of dozens of national BBQ awards, Steve is continuing his trail-blazing ways with his latest endeavor: The Backyard, boasting a raw bar, full cocktail bar, fire pits and live acoustic music on the weekends.
